Abstract

Overweight and obesity is an epidemic that affects two thirds of the world population, raising the rates of diseases such as type 2 diabetes and preventable cancers. Given this, conventional treatments are no longer useful, and the public resources of any country are and will be insufficient to treat more than 50% of the world population that will be affected.
