THE AUTHOR MAKES A BRIEF REVIEW OF THE MAIN INSTITUTIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS THAT THE CENTRAL AMERICAN MONETARY COUNCIL HAS MADE SINCE THE EARLY 1990S, HIGHLIGHTING ITS CONTRIBUTIONS TO FINANCIAL INTEGRATION, DEVELOPMENT OF PRUDENTIAL STANDARDS, CREATION OF FINANCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE, DEVELOPMENT OF REGIONAL STATISTICS AND REGIONAL RESEARCH.
