Abstract

Central America is one of the major regions that the United States exerted great political influence. However, in the accelerated process of globalization since the 1990s, China’s strategic presence in the region has been increased, leading to the fierce geopolitical competition with the U.S. By using a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze the process of globalization in Central America.
