Abstract

THE PROCESS OF JOINT NEGOTIATION AND PURCHASE OF MEDICINES IN CENTRAL AMERICA AND THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC IS BRIEFLY DESCRIBED AND IT IS SHOWN THAT THE SAVINGS OF MORE THAN US20,000,000 IN THE PURCHASE OF MEDICINES AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL IS AN EXAMPLE THAT WITH COORDINATED WORK AND UNDER THE MAXIM OF COLLECTIVE BENEFIT, PUBLIC POLICIES THAT PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF OUR COUNTRIES CAN BE IMPLEMENTED. THE PROCESS IS PRESENTED UNDER THE PROTECTION OF COMMUNITY LAW AND IS A CLEAR EXAMPLE OF THE POSSIBILITIES OFFERED BY CENTRAL AMERICAN INTEGRATION TO OBTAIN TANGIBLE RESULTS WITH A SUBSTANTIAL BENEFIT FOR THE SICA MEMBER COUNTRIES.
