Abstract

THIS ARTICLE IDENTIFIES THE DIFFERENT STRATEGIES EMPLOYED BY A GROUP OF TRANSNATIONAL CORPORATIONS TO LINK UP WITH THE MAIN SALVADORAN COFFEE MILLS, WITH THE PURPOSE OF CONSOLIDATING MARKET QUOTAS TO SUPPLY COFFEE BEANS, SPECIFICALLY IN THE WESTERN ZONE OF EL SALVADOR; IN ADDITION, INDICATORS ARE CONSTRUCTED AS AN APPROXIMATION OF THE STATE OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF SAID ZONE, ASSOCIATING THEM WITH THE INTENSITY OF THE PRESENCE OF TRANSNATIONAL CORPORATIONS.
