Analysis of the process for granting a non-contributory disability pension from the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social)

Abstract

Various professionals and departments are involved in the process of assessing the pension requested by the non-contributory disability regime. In general terms, it is known that there are shortcomings and nonconformities (both internal and external), but to date the issue has not been analyzed comprehensively.
The purpose of this study is to improve the quality of the process of granting the Non-Contributory Disability Pension of the Costa Rican Social Security Fund, through the characterization of the process, in order to propose improvements to the process of granting the Non-Contributory Disability Pension.
