Abstract

International relations increasingly play a fundamental role in the globalized world in which we live our little lives. It is a multidisciplinary field that encompasses diverse areas that are not always strictly political, or even economic, cultural and security-related, which is why international law has become an important dynamizing agent in supporting national and international public policies and has evolved to legislatively address a wide range of global problems that affect the international community as a whole. This essay advances in the analysis of Public International Law, international conventions and regional integration processes to understand and the importance of this also promote the strengthening of civil society and citizen participation in the defense of Human Rights and the democratization of States.
