Abstract

THIS SECTION ANALYZES INFORMATION RELATED TO A SERIES OF RELEVANT ASPECTS OF INTEGRATED BORDER MANAGEMENT IN CENTRAL AMERICA, HIGHLIGHTING THE USE OF SOME VARIABLES THAT SHOW THE REGION AS A PARTICULAR CASE OF ANALYSIS. THIS IS DUE TO THE FACT THAT IN A GEOGRAPHICALLY SMALL AREA THERE ARE LARGE SPACES IN WHICH BORDERS ARE SHARED, AS WELL AS AREAS OF JOINT ADMINISTRATION IN WHICH THREE STATES AND THEIR MUNICIPALITIES PARTICIPATE IN THE MANAGEMENT OF ONE OR SEVERAL SHARED RESOURCES.
