Abstract

This article aims to reflect on the main trends in innovation models worldwide to propose post-COVID-19 public policies, which can promote economic growth in the countries of the Latin American region, taking advantage of information and service technologies. digital audience. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the governments of the world to take measures of forced confinement, causing higher levels of poverty and social inequality at the international level. The main innovation models in developed countries consider the government as a strategic actor to create the legal and tax conditions that accelerate patents and licenses, be they in the public or private sectors. In general, the academy is the one who leads the University-Company-Government trinomial. The countries of the Latin American region should evaluate whether their national legislation is in line with an economy based on knowledge or on economic policies before adopting the triple, tetra-helix or open innovation model.
