Innovating the Cities of the Future

Abstract

This article presents a bibliographic review and an analysis of smart cities, since, despite not being a new concept, over the years, it has been reformulated to fit more and more with future visions of what is wanted and intended for nations. Countries today face great challenges, such as the growth of urban areas, the planning of new settlements and the problems that a disproportionate growth could cause; But in addition, these developments must be seen with a view in the future, integrating not only the solutions to the problems of the past, but also elements of the Industria 4.0, such as intelligent mobility, robotics, artificial intelligence and thinking about the future sustainability of these new mega cities.
