Abstract

THE FOLLOWING ARE A SERIES OF ALTERNATIVES TO PUBLIC MANAGEMENT THAT HAVE BEEN INCORPORATED IN RECENT YEARS AT ALL LEVELS OF ADMINISTRATION, PARTICULARLY LOCAL GOVERNMENTS, WHICH HAVE ADOPTED METHODOLOGIES, TECHNIQUES AND TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE INDUSTRIAL AND CIVIL SECTORS, AND THEIR MOST POWERFUL TOOLS (COMPUTER-AIDED MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT, GMAO, AND GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS, GIS), WHICH HAVE DEMONSTRATED INNUMERABLE ADVANTAGES IN IMPROVING CURRENT PUBLIC MANAGEMENT.
