BASED ON THE GROWING INTEREST IN FUELS OBTAINED FROM AGRICULTURAL CROPS, THE PRODUCTION CHAINS OF BOTH ETHANOL AND BIODIESEL IN COSTA RICA ARE ANALYZED, OUTLINING THE PROSPECTS FOR THESE FUELS AS A COMPLEMENTARY OPTION TO GASOLINE.
