Abstract

In general, public libraries in Costa Rica and the University of Costa Rica provided their services under a face-to-face modality before March 2020, month in which due to the COVID-19 pandemic they had to close their doors and their staff was sent to work from their homes. Faced with this new reality, these organizations had to change their services and the way in which they provide them, and they also had to educate, virtually, their users and/or students so that they could access them. This analysis presents the main changes that took place after the declaration of emergency in March 2020.
