Abstract

THE UNITED NATIONS, THROUGH ITS GENERAL ASSEMBLY, PROCLAIMED 1987 AS THE INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF SHELTER FOR THE HOMELESS AND ISSUED THE FOLLOWING PROCLAMATION. IT EMPHASIZES JOINT EFFORTS TO IMPROVE HOUSING FOR THE POOR AND DISADVANTAGED IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES.
