Abstract

This article in focused in the speeches pronounced by the Central American Goverments during the 73rd UN General Assambly session in 2018. Using tools for quantitative and qualitative measurement along with the technique of critical discourse analysis; all under the sight of political communication, both, exploratory and descriptive studies were made that allowed to know the topics, stories and political plots that exponents developed before their audience. After that, it was concluded that the important topics for the region were international interference, migration, and climate change. All of them exposed before the audience as a story of conflict and antagonism, where the Central American countries stand at a disadvantage.
