Abstract

THE PROGRESS OF PUBLIC SERVICE IN ALL NATIONS OF THE WORLD DEPENDS ON PUBLIC ADMINISTRATORS WHO POSSESS THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO EFFECTIVELY PLAN, ORGANIZE, AND DIRECT GOVERNMENT SERVICES AND PROGRAMS. THE SUCCESSFUL DEVELOPMENT OF THESE TEACHING AND TRAINING PROGRAMS IS CRUCIAL TO THE EVALUATION OF A WELL-TRAINED MANAGEMENT CORPS. UNIVERSITIES, GOVERNMENT-SPONSORED AND OTHER TRAINING INSTITUTIONS HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO PROVIDE CURRICULA, TEACHING AND INSTRUCTION THAT WILL PROVIDE HIGH QUALITY ADMINISTRATIVE/MANAGERIAL PERSONNEL FOR THE PUBLIC SERVICE.

FOR MANY YEARS THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MANAGEMENT SCHOOLS AND INSTITUTES HAS BROUGHT TOGETHER EDUCATORS AND TECHNICIANS TO IMPROVE PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION/MANAGEMENT EDUCATION AND TRAINING PROGRAMS. IN PARTICULAR, EFFORTS HAVE BEEN DIRECTED AT PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION/MANAGEMENT.
