Abstract

The present research presents the analysis of the value chain in the coffee sector of Honduras from the lens from the components of coordination and management of the administrative process to recommend to the IHCAFE policies that strengthen it institutionally. Likewise, theories related to value chain analysis with neoclassical economics and institutional economics, mainly its link to governance, are reviewed. The Theory of Value Chain Development presented by Santiago Salguero in Demenus and Crespo (2011) was selected to carry out this analysis and methodologically, a mixed research design was adopted (qualitative and quantitative) to verify the research hypotheses.
