Abstract

The article analyzes the search for a cognitive framework of Central American integration, based on the process of reflection on its future, which began at the end of 2010. In the following years, a commitment was made to strategic regionalism as the way to follow and imitate. In a process in which the trust and credibility of the parties is essential to promote institutional transformations and in the face of the plurality of players with veto power, the status quo tends to prevail.
