Abstract

STATES THAT THE NEW WORLD IN WHICH WE LIVE IS GOVERNED BY ECONOMIC INTERESTS AND THAT, IN VIEW OF THIS SITUATION, SMALL COUNTRIES MUST OPT FOR INTERNATIONALIZATION, FOR WHICH IT IS NECESSARY TO CHANGE THEIR RIGID AND RISK-FEARING CONCEPTIONS FOR ONE ORIENTED TOWARDS CHANGE AND INNOVATION. THE PAPER SETS OUT SOME BASIC GUIDELINES THAT SHOULD FORM PART OF AN INTERNATIONALIZATION STRATEGY AND RECOMMENDS A CREATIVE REVIEW OF THE REGIONAL INSTITUTIONAL APPARATUS.
