Abstract

THE HETEROGENEITY WITHIN FAMILY FARMING, AF, IN TERMS OF ITS SOCIAL, ECONOMIC, PRODUCTIVE AND CULTURAL CHARACTERISTICS, CONDITIONS ITS ABILITY TO RESPOND AND BENEFIT LOCALLY, FOR EXAMPLE, IN THE FACE OF TRADE LIBERALIZATION. THE STUDY ANSWERS THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS: WHAT PUBLIC POLICIES HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTED FOR LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN COSTA RICA?
