Abstract

ANALYZES THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM DISCIPLINARY PROCEEDINGS INSTITUTED BY THE COMPTROLLER GENERAL OF THE REPUBLIC, CGR, OF COSTA RICA, FOR OFFENSES TYPIFIED IN THE LAW AGAINST CORRUPTION AND ILLICIT ENRICHMENT IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE, WHICH WAS APPROVED IN 2005 AND ENTERED INTO FORCE IN 2006, WHICH HAS BEEN AN IMPORTANT STEP FORWARD IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION AND SAFEGUARDING THE PRINCIPLES OF TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION, AND REINFORCING THE SANCTIONING POWER OF THE COMPTROLLER GENERAL IN THIS AREA.
