Abstract

THE AUTHOR PRESENTS THE HEALTH SITUATION IN THE AREA OF MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH IN CENTRAL AMERICA, JUSTIFYING THE IMPORTANCE OF STUDYING PUBLIC POLICIES IN THIS AREA, NOT ONLY FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF THE REPRESENTATIVENESS OF THE MOTHER-CHILD BINOMIAL, BUT ALSO FROM THE IMPACT THAT GOVERNMENT HEALTH ACTIONS AIMED AT THIS GROUP HAVE ON THE POPULATION AS A WHOLE.
